We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Land Surveyor for our client based in Westhill. Role and Responsibilities: Conduct a variety of surveys from start to finish using advanced surveying technologies, including Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, Laser Scanning, Aerial LiDAR, and Mobile Mapping solutions. Prepare and review project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and work packs. Participate actively in project kickoff meetings with the Survey Manager and Commercial Manager to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and client requirements. Execute fieldwork according to client specifications, relevant procedures, and best practices. Process data and generate deliverable, ensuring quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) through various software tools. Work in diverse locations and environments, both nationally and internationally, as required. Collaborate effectively within a team, guided by the Survey Manager or Commercial Manager, to plan and organise work efficiently to meet project deadlines. Skills and Qualities: A degree in Surveying or a related field, with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience or equivalent industry experience in land, engineering, or setting-out surveying. Proficient in using total stations, GNSS, and laser scanning equipment. Skilled in surveying and CAD software, such as Trimble Business Centre, LSS, and Auto CAD. UAV surveying experience is preferred but not required. Strong analytical skills with the ability to process large data sets and make informed decisions. Effective team player who can also work independently. Excellent IT skills along with strong verbal and written communication abilities. Professional demeanor with the capacity to interact with clients and key stakeholders on-site. Willingness to travel for work, including overnight and weeklong trips, and readiness to work in remote locations. CSCS card preferred but not mandatory. Commitment to health and safety standards. Valid UK driving license and eligibility to work in the UK. Career Development: There is potential for the right candidate to progress to a Senior Land Surveyor role, with mentorship and support available to achieve RICS Associate and/or Member status.
