Job Title: Piping Inspector
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Piping Inspector to join our team in Fife, Scotland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections and experience working with pressurized piping systems.
Responsibilities:
* To act as a competent person carrying out mechanical pressure system inspections, including NDT, in compliance with legal and company standards.
* To create NDT plans and select suitable techniques for detecting degradation mechanisms.
* Carry out corrosion loop inspections, prepare work packs, and input data into SharePoint.
* Review piping work packs and line walk to identify and prepare for inspections and NDT activities.
* Prepare piping inspection reports stating the as-found condition of equipment and recommend future inspection intervals.
* Create CAIRS and submit repair recommendations to Area Inspectors and clients.
* Raise SAP notifications for job planning and required resourcing.
* Liaise with client representatives and other departments to ensure work deadlines are met.
* Carry out structural inspections, PFP inspections, and small bore tubing when required.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' work experience in a similar role.
* A working knowledge and understanding of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 (PSSR).
Qualifications:
* UKAS RG2 Category 3.
* PCN Level 2 qualifications in UT (3.1 & 3.2), MPI, and DPI (desirable).
* IRATA Rope Access, L1, L2, or L3.
* ASME Level 1 Plant inspector and/or API 570.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience.
