Main Responsibilities:
1. Reporting to the Director of Quality Operations, the Quality Operations Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing support to multiple sites to ensure proper execution, implementation and sustainability of quality compliance requirements.
2. Represent Quality as an ambassador for regulatory compliance regarding GMP, Cannabis Acts & Regulations, and company policies and procedures.
3. Perform routine internal audits of sites and observe workflows to ensure corporate policy and regulatory compliance and support external audits as needed.
4. Develop, implement and maintain governance of site-specific quality risk registry for each site.
5. Implement a standardized audit process for external/regulatory audits and support site teams with execution activities.
6. Work in collaboration with site QA teams to execute corporate QA continuous improvement initiatives and/or change management.
7. Prepare and compile quality KPI/KQI data for dashboards and periodic reporting.
8. Effectively communicate product quality/safety related updates/alerts to all sites.
9. Effectively communicate/share trends of NC findings and learnings from external audits to all sites.
10. Conduct effectiveness verification of site PCP plans, policies and procedures to ensure they comply with regulatory and corporate QA requirements and are incorporated into daily operating procedures at site level.
11. Conduct training sessions for site staff related to corporate SOPs and policies.
12. Support external supplier quality team with audit activities.
13. Support APQR work for each site.
14. Act as main conduit to compile data for SOX audits for each site.
15. Support data-driven logs for ongoing tracking of department metrics across sites.
16. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Four (4) year degree required, preferably with scientific, engineering, regulatory, internal audit core concentration.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality, Regulatory, Technical, or Manufacturing Operations in the area of quality compliance preferably in the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry (GMP experience is highly valued).
3. Professional certifications and regulatory, quality systems, or internal audit training certificates in relevant disciplines are desirable.
4. Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills are required.
5. Demonstrated knowledge/application of practical quality assurance and quality system elements.
