Additional information
Hear from a Home Instead Care Professional: " When I visit my client, we often do some baking together. So far, we have made sausage rolls, cookies, and a lemon drizzle cake. My client has a big apple tree in her garden, which led us to making a few apple crumbles. My client thoroughly enjoys baking, when we initially met, she told me how she would bake all the time but now it’s just herself, she doesn’t feel like doing that anymore. I suggested we could bake together, and she loved the idea so now we bake on a regular basis. I always let her take the lead as I feel this gives her confidence and pride in what we do together. I really feel this makes a difference to my client’s daily life giving her some independence back. When we don't bake, we pop out for lunch or visit a local garden centre"
