ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an Earned Media Account Executive at 54, you will play a key role in supporting the Earned Media team to deliver world-class campaigns for our clients. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with a passion for sports, entertainment, and media who is eager to learn and grow in a dynamic agency environment.
The role will support the team particularly across 54’s brand and destination portfolio, as well as events. Candidates should feel comfortable working on multiple projects and to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Media Relations:
* Research and build targeted media lists across sports, entertainment, and lifestyle sectors.
* Draft compelling press releases, pitches, and media materials.
* Assist in pitching stories to journalists and securing media coverage for clients.
* Client Support:
* Assist with day-to-day account management, including meeting preparation, note-taking, and action tracking.
* Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and gather feedback.
* Regular reporting – including annual, monthly and following distribution of key press releases
* Content Creation:
* Support the development of engaging content, including press releases, editorial features, and campaign reports.
* Help manage the creation of visual assets by liaising with 54’s in house design studio and/or production agency.
Campaign Management:
* Collaborate with senior team members to execute PR campaigns, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
* Monitor campaign performance and assist in creating post-campaign evaluation reports.
Administrative Duties:
* Maintain and update media contact databases.
* Monitor and report on industry trends, competitor activities, and media coverage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Education and Experience:
* A degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
* Up to 1 year of PR experience, internships, or related work in a media environment (preferred but not required).
* Skills and Attributes:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive attitude with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Passion for sports and entertainment, with an understanding of media landscapes in these sectors.
* Creative thinking and a flair for storytelling.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with PR tools like Meltwater, Cision, or similar (a plus).
* Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools is advantageous.
