As a Senior People Business Partner, you will work closely with the Managing Director for Local Government & Education, providing strategic HR leadership and crafting tailored people plans to align with Mitie Group's strategic objectives. You will lead workforce planning, talent management, cultural initiatives, and performance management, ensuring alignment with Mitie's Centres of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* People Strategy Development: Develop forward-thinking people plans using key HR metrics and external factors, aligned with the Group's strategic objectives.
* HR Cycles Management: Oversee annual HR cycles, including performance reviews, talent reviews, salary reviews, and bonuses.
* Professional HR Solutions: Provide counsel on complex HR cases, designing solutions that meet Mitie's commercial and professional standards.
* Policy Development: Collaborate with HR teams to ensure policies and procedures meet current and future business needs.
* Organisational Design: Partner on organisational design projects to improve performance and execute subsequent actions.
* Talent Management & Development: Support initiatives in leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and career growth.
* Recruitment & Retention: Develop strategies tailored to business needs in collaboration with the Centres of Excellence.
* Workforce Planning: Forecast and plan workforce requirements, supporting strategic hires and succession planning.
* Cultural Change & Engagement: Drive cultural initiatives and engagement programmes to foster a positive and cohesive Mitie culture.
* Coaching & Mentoring: Mentor business directors to promote team effectiveness and uphold Mitie's vision and values.
* Leadership: Line manage a People Business Partner, fostering shared success and growth.
About You:
We seek a seasoned HR professional with a strong track record in a senior HR role. Expertise in reward management, employee relations, talent management, succession planning, and organisational restructuring is essential. You should be able to deliver strategic HR advice based on accurate and timely management information, with strong analytical skills to drive informed decision-making.
Effective communication and influence are critical. You must have strong engagement and presentation skills to build meaningful connections with senior stakeholders and clients. This fast-paced role demands the ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and perform well under pressure. A proactive mindset and the ability to use initiative are key to success.
Willingness to travel across Great Britain is required, providing on-the-ground support and strategic guidance. A CIPD qualification is desirable, along with experience in training, development, compensation, and benefits. Familiarity with Training Needs Analysis (TNA), psychometric assessments, and salary surveys will be beneficial.
