Black Country Healthcare Foundation Trust are inviting applications for our Clinical Fellowship Programme in Psychiatry for a period of two years in the first instance. The Trust provides specialist and community mental healthcare services for the population of the Black Country:
* General Adult Services
* Old Age
* Liaison
* Perinatal
* Eating Disorders
* Learning Disabilities
* Early Intervention Services
* Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
The Trust serves numerous localities in Black Country areas and dependent upon clinical speciality successful candidates would be placed at one of the below sites:
* Penn Hospital, Wolverhampton
* Gem Centre, Wolverhampton
* Dorothy Pattinson Hospital, Walsall
* Bushey Fields Hospital, Dudley
* Edward Street Hospital, West Bromwich
* Hallam Street Hospital, Sandwell
* Heath Lane Hospital
* MacArthur Centre Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Vacancies available at this juncture are within Adult Mental Health and Older Adults services located across Dudley and Sandwell.
Main Duties of the Job
The programme is suitable for UK and overseas doctors seeking clinical experience, a high-quality training programme, enhanced qualifications and career progression supported by dedicated Clinical Leads and a wider admin team. Post holders will be encouraged to undertake audit and quality improvement projects. They will also be supported to pursue Membership examinations and opportunities to develop formal teaching or research skills.
The Programme has an established reputation for supporting our Fellows. It is the intent of the service that, at the end of their tenure, the Fellow will be fully prepared and highly marketable for their next career step by virtue of their clinical experience, educational portfolio and higher qualification.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
Candidates must hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in psychiatry and must provide evidence of rotational training for at least three years within the speciality.
International candidates who are not registered with the GMC and require sponsorship would need to evidence they meet the requirements:
* Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry (after at least three years of rotational training, theory and clinical examination, examples include MD, DNB, FCPS, MWACP, FWACP or their equivalents)
* Have a valid OET (band B minimum) or IELTS (7.5 overall/min 7 each domain)
* Have been in clinical practice for a minimum of 3 out of the last 5 years
* In current clinical practice with no gaps during the 12 months immediately preceding the date GMC registration would be applied for/granted

* MBBS
* Postgraduate qualifications: (MD, DNB, FCPS, MWACP, FWACP or their equivalents)
* Eligible for registration with the GMC
* Valid IELTS/OET
