We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Chemistry Teacher to join a Science Department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience.
Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, we’re looking for someone who brings energy, subject expertise, and a genuine enthusiasm for chemistry and science education. Beginning April 2025.
Duties as a Chemistry Teacher:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based chemistry lessons.
2. Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable).
3. Use data to track progress and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
4. Create a safe and stimulating learning environment in the lab.
5. Support students in developing scientific thinking, curiosity, and confidence.
6. Contribute to departmental planning, assessments, and extracurricular activities.
Ideal Chemistry Teacher:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a specialism in Chemistry or a related science.
2. A strong understanding of the science curriculum, including GCSE and A-level Chemistry.
3. Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to bring chemistry to life.
4. Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Chemistry Teacher.
5. A commitment to student achievement and inclusion.
