This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Manchester Counselling and Mental Health Service and play a key role in service delivery. This university based service is a multi-disciplinary team of Counsellors, Senior Counsellors, Mental Health Practitioners and other support staff providing a range of mental health support and psychological interventions for both students and staff at the University of Manchester. You will work alongside the Head of Counselling and Mental Health and the broader team to develop, embed and maintain effective working partnerships with colleagues, students, and other relevant stakeholders. The overarching focus is the delivery of high quality psychological and mental health support to enhance student and staff experience. You will have a relevant mental health, counselling or psychological therapy qualification, (e.g. Cognitive Analytic Therapist, Senior Counsellor, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Mental Health Social Worker etc.) and be BABCP, UKCP, BPS accredited or accredited with an equivalent professional body (e.g. NMC). You will have a minimum of 6 years post qualifying experience with experience of line-management or will have had a senior role within a clinical team. You will have significant training and experience in assessment, formulation and structured interventions. You will be able to identify significant mental health difficulties and undertake thorough risk assessments. You will be able to work collaboratively and flexibly within a diverse team. You will be experienced in working in the Higher Education setting and /or have similar experience within a busy multi-disciplinary team. PLEASE NOTE: There will be opportunity to learn more about the Counselling & Mental Health Service and the provision of support across the University of Manchester at an informal drop in question-and-answer session.
