An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join Islay Community Hospital. The post involves working across both hospital and community services to provide a seamless, integrated service to patients and their families. The department has a non-By-pass A&E department, currently staffed by ward staff and supported by on-call GPs.
The role will involve the assessment, planning, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based holistic care. The post holder should be innovative and able to work across professional boundaries, underpinned by a strong desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.
Opportunities to develop skills and experience in areas such as unscheduled care, advanced assessment, and palliative care are available.
Full UK NMC Registration required. Sponsorship is not available for this post.

NHS Scotland is reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours starting 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. The reduction will be pro-rata for part-time staff.
