The practice is led by Dr. Nazura Khan and supported by a dedicated team, a practice nurse, one phlebotomist, and administrative staff. As of the latest available data, the surgery has approximately 3,541 registered patients.
Job responsibilities
Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients presenting with acute or long-term conditions.
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients independently or in collaboration with GPs and clinicians.
Provide treatment, referral, and follow-up care in line with national and local guidelines.
Contribute to triage and same-day access systems, managing on-the-day demand effectively.
Support long-term condition reviews and health promotion activities.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation using EMIS Web.
Work closely with the wider practice team including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and care coordinators.
Participate in clinical audits, significant event reviews, and contribute to practice meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* HCPC registered Paramedic.
* Experience working in urgent care, primary care, or a community setting.
* Strong clinical decision-making and autonomous working skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of a general practice environment.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Paramedic Practitioner qualification (e.g., MSc or postgraduate course).
* Prescribing qualification (or willingness to undertake).
* Experience with EMIS Web or similar clinical systems.
* Knowledge of QOF and IIF frameworks.
* Previous experience in a GP surgery or PCN setting.
