The Role:
As a Meeting and Events Operations Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the setup and breakdown of all meeting and event operations, ensuring that the operational team delivers exceptional experiences for both guests and members. You will be responsible for delegating tasks according to function sheets and supporting the achievement of departmental targets. In this role, you will ensure the seamless operational setup of event spaces across the hotel, contributing to the overall success of each event:
* Supervise Meetings and Events set up and breakdown operations.
* Communicate and delegate in line with daily function sheets
* Able to work in all areas of Meetings and Events
* Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
* Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
* Ensure cleanliness of work areas
* Plan, organize and control the daily operations
* Ensure compliance with brand standards
* Represent the needs of the team
* Assist the Meeting and Events Manager with training and developing the team
* Assist with annual and mid-year appraisals with team members under your responsibility
* Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
* Comply with local licensing laws
* Be environmentally aware
* Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
