We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic midwife who has a keen interest in all aspects of maternity care to manage the Ward 26, an antenatal and postnatal ward with 21 beds, with the addition of a 5 bedded Maternity Triage area.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our established midwifery team at NLAG, Scunthorpe.
Main duties of the job
* To provide midwifery leadership and act as a role model to others, providing specialist expertise that is underpinned by theory and practical experience.
* Provide 24 hour responsibility for the management of the midwifery teams, managing staff and liaising with others as necessary.
* Continuing responsibility for development of staff, equipment, supplies and ward/department resources.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Registered Midwife
* Degree in Midwifery or evidence of recent relevant CPD at degree level
* Evidence of post-registration development in midwifery
* Teaching/facilitation qualification or experience
* First degree or working towards
Occupational Experience
* Practicing midwife with a minimum of 3 years experience at Band 6
* Experience of holding unit bleep
* Experience of guideline development
* Complaints handling experience and/or training
