The role of the above is to be part of a team that provides a service, Trust wide, to include the transport of patients, staff, replenishment of medical consumable goods to all areas of the Trust including community and rural departments. This will include assisting in the transfer of beds/mattresses, furniture and medical devices between various areas plus the delivery of equipment to patient's houses. The successful applicant will also be required to fulfil any related tasks as could be required by the Trust,
The role will include comprehensive administration l tasks in relation to departmental needs, including filing, reception duties and dealing with telephone enquiries., To assist with the operational movement of staff and patients, management of stock (NHS Supply Chain) procurement services and participate in the provision on an efficient procurement service, in accordance with the Trust Procurement strategy and in line with Trust Standing Financial Instructions (SFI's).
To distribute stock and non-stock goods and freight around the hospital using barrows or cages as required.
To distribute equipment to designated areas throughout the hospital.
Obtain signatures for goods that are delivered and return the signed paperwork to the admin department in the Medical Equipment store to comply with Audit recommended processes.
Assist in delivering pharmacy products to wards or Community departments.
Keeping the Medical Equipment stores area clean tidy and in a fit state for Medical Equipment stores staff to be able to carry out their duties.
Pick up stock items from wards and deliver to other areas in the hospital when required.
The role involves working weekends.
This role involves working night shifts.
