Anderson Knight are seeking an experienced HR Adviser to support our client, a dynamic, fast-paced and complex business based in Glasgow, looking for an experienced HR Adviser or Senior HR Adviser to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional with a strong background in employee relations, talent management, and HR strategy to make a significant impact in a challenging and rewarding setting.
The Role:
As an HR Adviser, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR support across the business. You will work closely with senior management and department heads to address a wide range of HR issues, offering strategic and practical guidance to ensure that HR processes are aligned with the company’s objectives. You will be involved in managing complex employee relations cases, supporting talent development, and driving HR initiatives that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide proactive HR advice and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, absence management, and disciplinary and grievance issues.
* Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary hearings, and grievance resolutions, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
* Work with senior managers to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the business objectives, ensuring they meet both current and future workforce needs.
* Support the recruitment and retention strategy, assisting in the hiring of key talent and ensuring a positive employee experience from onboarding through to development and retention.
* Advise on and manage performance management processes, coaching managers on how to have effective performance conversations and manage underperformance.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and in line with current legal requirements.
* Provide data-driven insights and HR reporting to support decision-making and business planning.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with employees at all levels, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
* Support the delivery of employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring employees are motivated, supported, and able to thrive in the workplace.
What We’re Looking For:
* Significant experience as an HR Adviser, ideally within a complex or fast-paced business environment.
* Strong experience in employee relations, with the ability to manage complex cases from start to finish.
* A solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to apply them in a practical and business-focused way.
* Experience in advising and coaching senior leaders and managers on HR issues.
* Proven track record of implementing HR policies and initiatives that drive business performance and employee engagement.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent HR-related certification is desirable.
* A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to think strategically and manage day-to-day HR challenges.
