Job summary Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Community Paediatrician for Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust (SCHT) based in Shrewsbury. This exciting opportunity is available due to the previous post holder retiring. The appointee must be able to travel to meet the requirements of the job and will be eligible for a car through the Trust's lease car scheme, details of which will be available to the successful applicant. 10 PA's Main duties of the job The Trust has been rated as GOOD across all the services it provides. There are no acute on-call commitments. Opportunity to develop specialist interest speciality will be encouraged. The post holder will be expected to work closely with Community Nursing Staff, Allied Health and Education Professionals and Social Workers; The post holder is expected to provide clinical leadership for Specialist Trainees on rotation in community paediatrics. Participate in a week-day 9 am to 5 pm Safeguarding Child Protection on-call rota. This is supported by regular Child Protection Supervision and Peer Review. Frequency would be 1:6. Good co-operative and joint working is in place across disciplines and between partners within the Integrated Care System.
