GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a school in Weymouth. In this role, you will provide invaluable assistance to students, helping them manage their emotional well-being while supporting their learning. Responsibilities: Work one-to-one and in small groups with students who require mental health support. Assist students in managing their emotions and coping with anxiety, stress, and other mental health challenges. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement tailored support plans for students. Help students engage with their learning and provide emotional support during lessons. Monitor and record student progress, providing updates to staff and parents. Requirements: Experience supporting students with mental health needs is desirable but not essential. A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting young people with mental health challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or other related qualifications in education, mental health, or special educational needs are desirable.
