Student Engagement Officer Salary CAN scale point 21 (£24,920 actual, £29,010 full time equivalent) for 36 hours per week, term time plus 7 days (195 working days). This is a non-teaching post in which the successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Assistant Head Teachers of Attendance and SEN in order to support identified children who are struggling with school attendance and to re-engage them in their education. To fulfil the requirements of the role, the Student Engagement Officer will be expected to work closely with both teaching and support staff at all levels of the school community. It may also involve work with parents/carers and, where appropriate, external agencies in a large, fast-paced school environment.
