Fleet Services Department, Finance & Logistics Directorate We are recruiting for a Handyperson Driver to be based at our Fleet Workshop facility at Knowe Road, in Greenock. The successful candidate may be required to work from other Scottish Ambulance Service Workshops on occasions. Reporting to the Maintenance Chargehand, you will primarily work with the small team based at Greenock and be part of the wider local and national Fleet team supporting the Region and the wider Service. The opportunity to apply for a Blue Light card, which offers discounts with major high street retailers. The Successful Candidate Will Hold a full driving licence with B and C1 entitlement. Be confident driving a mixed fleet of vehicles including cars, light vans and vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes maximum authorised mass (MAM), and towing trailers within these licence conditions. Able to drive for long distances throughout much of the working day where required. Physically fit and able to lift vehicle components, parts and equipment within safe working guidance. Physically fit and able to support maintenance staff where necessary including vehicle, component and equipment cleaning, facility housekeeping and reasonable tasks within the scope and training of the role. Be familiar in the use of basic IT software and e-mail. This is a full-time position working day shift commencing at 08:00 hours Monday to Friday, there may be some requirement for occasional overtime and public holiday working, both paid at the appropriate enhanced rate. Working hours may be subject to change due to reduction in the working to 36 hours and in line with Agenda for Change.
