Are you someone who enjoys working as part of a progressive and proactive team? Do you consistently deliver great customer service and attention to detail?
Our Payroll and Pension Team is expanding and we are looking for two Pension Officers to join the team. You will be motivated, approachable and enthusiastic and will bring a proactive approach to your work.
Spanning ESNEFT's two acute sites, community sites and community services, you will play a crucial role in administering our two employer pension schemes, NHS and NEST. As a newly established service, you will have an active role in helping to shape the direction, working closely with colleagues to determine ways of working to ensure a consistent, supportive and trusted service is provided to our valued employees.
Main duties of the job
1. Be an active participant in the departments bitesize training sessions provided to managers across the Trust.
2. Work independently, with a high level of autonomy, initiative and freedom to act.
3. Maintain accurate pension records for all employees.
4. Manage, prioritise, plan and organise own time using extensive knowledge, skills and experience.
5. Routinely investigate a variety of issues, propose and implement solutions.
6. Actively support employees with retirement requests including ill-health retirement.
7. Work closely with payroll and pension colleagues to deliver a high standard of service at all times.
We welcome applications from individuals wanting flexible or hybrid working. While working knowledge of NHS Pensions would be an advantage, we welcome applications from individuals who can offer great customer service, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
There is the opportunity for this post to be offered as a developmental role with support to undertake appropriate on and off the job training.
