We are looking for an experienced IT, Data, and Digital Manager to lead our technology, data systems, and digital initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing IT operations, overseeing data and digital development, and driving strategic projects. This role will be central in managing the IT partner relationship, supporting day-to-day IT activities, reporting, and collaborating with teams to ensure our digital systems are fit for purpose and impactful. A strong understanding of GDPR and experience in managing Subject Access Requests are essential.
This is a full time hybrid role: 35 hours a week with an annual salary of £40,000.
Key Responsibilities
* IT, Data & Digital Strategy: Provide leadership and drive strategic projects across IT, data, and digital, ensuring alignment with the charity’s mission and goals.
* IT Relationship Management: Act as the key point of contact for our external IT partner, ensuring they deliver high-quality service and align with our needs and objectives.
* Business-as-Usual (BAU) Support: Oversee and support daily IT operations and projects ensuring systems and platforms are reliable and meet the needs of the charity’s staff and beneficiaries.
* Data Systems and Reporting Management: Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our data systems, ensuring data is accessible, reporting is accurate, secure, and effectively supports decision-making and service delivery.
* GDPR and SAR Management: Act as the DPO, ensuring full compliance with GDPR ensuring data privacy and security across all digital platforms.
* Digital Transformation and Change Management: Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging technology to improve processes, services, and outcomes for beneficiaries and stakeholders.
* Team Leadership: Lead and develop the internal data team, setting clear goals and providing guidance to ensure the team operates effectively and efficiently.
* Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Team and Service Delivery Teams to ensure digital tools and platforms effectively support communication, outreach, and engagement goals. Collaborate with other teams to improve and align IT and data systems with operational needs.
* Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop and oversee metrics for IT, data, and digital functions. Collecting, organising, and analysing data, ensuring data collection aligns with contract and organisational requirements.
Key Requirements
* Experience in a leadership role within IT, data, and digital, ideally within the voluntary or charity sector.
* Proven track record of managing external IT providers and overseeing day-to-day IT operations.
* Deep understanding of GDPR compliance, with practical experience in handling complex Subject Access Requests (SARs).
* Experience in data systems management, from implementation to optimisation, ensuring systems are secure and efficient.
* A strong background in driving digital development with a focus on using technology to enhance operations and service delivery.
* An understanding of the unique challenges of the voluntary sector, with experience in supporting mental health or social services charities preferred.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams to achieve their best.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
