Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Northampton
Shifts: Double Days
Salary: £45,000, Development and Training + 30 days holiday with options to purchase more
The Company:
ATA Recruitment are proud to be working exclusively with one of the largest automation companies in the world, currently operating in over 15 countries with 200+ sites globally. The company has a global turnover of over £4bn and aims to drive its operations into the growing automation industry in the UK. This site is in the early stages, having already seen over £15 million invested, with plans for significant growth, including the implementation of a CMMS system.
The Role:
As a Maintenance Engineer you will:
1. Be responsible for the machinery and automation of equipment on site, including pneumatics, hydraulics, bagging machines, hanging garment systems, and steam tunnels.
2. Have the opportunity to pitch projects to the Engineering Manager, allowing you to bring your vision and add value to the future of the site.
3. Handle mechanical responsibilities such as working on bearings, rollers, shafts, pulleys, and the boiler system.
4. Manage electrical responsibilities including sensors, circuit breakers, contactors, and PLCs.
The Candidate:
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer who:
1. Holds a recognized Engineering Qualification.
2. Is a proactive engineer eager to grow their skillset and participate in projects.
3. Is confident working with both electrical and mechanical systems.
4. Ideally has experience in a fast-moving environment.
5. Wants to help upskill the Trainee Engineer who will report to them technically.
Salary and Benefits:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will receive:
1. An annual salary of £45,000.
2. A Double Days shift (6-2 / 2-10).
3. 30 days holiday + option to buy more.
4. Training in various responsibilities and upskilling opportunities, including NVQ Level 3, BOAS, and other qualifications to enhance your skill set.
5. Potential for progression within this site and across the UK.
