An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Manager to join Waterfront Conference Company, a fast-growing conference company specialising in conferences and training for the planning, ports, energy and rail sectors, which is part of the Freshwater Group.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation and implementation of marketing and delegate acquisition strategies for each conference, across all marketing channels, with a focus on delivering delegate revenue. The Marketing Manager will also work closely with colleagues within the Freshwater Group, working on the business growth strategy and sharing business opportunities.
The role includes responsibility for tracking, analysing and reporting on campaign performance and plays a lead role in shaping the strategy for both delegate acquisition and lead generation for sponsorship sales. Key areas of responsibility will include email marketing, website and CRM management, data build, social media and content. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with and developing partnerships, supporting the sales function and other paid advertising. The role includes management of a Marketing Executive, who will support in the delivery of marketing plans.

Key Responsibilities:
* Experience of working in conference marketing and running conference campaigns in a similar role
* In-depth conference sector knowledge and the process and procedures in conference marketing
* Email marketing experience (email marketing software systems such as Spotler or Mailchimp)
* Knowledge of up-to-date social media platforms and how to implement relevant social media strategies
* Excellent database build and management skills
* Experience of managing website marketing content
* Development of marketing campaign experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
* Problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative
* Demonstrable passion for marketing and communications
* B2B experience
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Demonstrable proof-reading skills and excellent attention to detail
* A self-starter, comfortable working autonomously and also in a cross-functional team
This can be a London or Cardiff-based role. The majority of events are London-based and it is a hybrid working model.
