About the Role: This role is designed for English graduates who are passionate about education and eager to inspire a love for language and literature among secondary school students. Key Responsibilities: Support students in English lessons, providing one-to-one and small group assistance to help them achieve their potential. Work closely with English teachers to deliver engaging lessons, offering support with lesson planning and resource preparation. Foster students' enthusiasm for reading, writing, and critical analysis through tailored support and targeted interventions. Assist with the delivery of literacy programs and initiatives aimed at improving reading and writing skills across all year groups. Help to create an inclusive classroom environment by supporting students with diverse needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Provide feedback on student progress to teachers, contributing to the implementation of strategies that promote learning. Encourage and motivate students to develop their confidence in English, supporting their preparation for exams and assessments. What We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will: Hold a degree in English, English Literature, or a related discipline. Be passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff. Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting learning. Have strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
