The UK Finance team has a temporary position to join their team based out of our office in the Leeds Area. This opportunity is for an experienced accounting professional who will support the business during a period of significant change and growth. Role Scope The Management Accountant will support the Financial Controller to deliver the operational financial accounting and reporting for the UK business and its associated European entities. Typically, Management Accountant will: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month end process ensuring timely monthly financial statements are published within a strict US-based closing schedule, under US GAAP Supervise payroll and timecard processing Review of VAT and CIS returns Respond to internal and external auditor requests Document and recommend updates to existing processes Provide backup support for the accounts payable and project accounting functions Minimum Requirements Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) Accountant or QBE Statutory accounting knowledge and good knowledge of VAT and tax Experience of using Microsoft Office Packages particularly Microsoft Excel Quick learner on financial/ERP systems Desirable Knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Concur Experience working for a publicly listed company Experience working for a US owned entity Experience in the Energy industry Personal Attributes The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and have a flexible approach to work.
