Danny’s Dream Danny’s Dream is a unique CQC registered service, achieving the coveted overall ‘outstanding’ rating by the
independent regulator of care. We support individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, physical disabilities and
complex health support needs.
Personal Assistant
Hours 37 (FT) per week, flexible working also possible.
Salary £23,444 per annum if a Level 2 diploma in health and social care (or relevant qualification) completed, £22,086.75 if
unqualified
We provide:
* Care and support package delivered by trusted team members, specifically trained to meet the individual’s needs
* Focus on supporting the service user to achieve individual goals, focusing on maximising independence, choice and control
* A personal assistant service, offering domiciliary and community support, all service users have at least 1-1 support,
therefore dedicated time is provided to each individual.
* The Danny’s Dream club, with a well-equipped changing places facility, shower facilities and mobile electronic hoisting
equipment for non-weight bearing service users
* An amazing sensory room with a range of sensory equipment
* Club rooms for service user activities – and a pool table!
* Ongoing activities with a wide range of community engagement group.
“Each day is different. One day I might be supporting a service user at home and playing xbox, the next day I might be taking a
service user swimming or providing essential mental health support. It's about meeting the health and social needs of our service
users, alongside supporting them to live their life their way and to support them to be as independent as they possibly can be.”
Support requirements (not limited to) of this role:
* Provide support that meets CQC essential standards of quality and safety.
* Share a collective responsibility for the prevention and control of infection at work
* Provide clearly written and concise infection control documentation.
* Level 2 health and social care diploma (equivalent or above) or willing to complete it.
We will support you by:
* An in-depth induction and training programme
* Regular supervisions with a dedicated line manager
* Progression encouraged.
* Providing a varied experience that will change day-to-day
To be successful in this role you will need to have a can-do attitude, good sense of humour, willingness to learn/adapt and the
willingness to communicate with a range of different people with different support needs!
