The Role: As a Care Assistant in SEND education, you will support students with a variety of special needs, including ASC, PMLD, SEMH, SLD, and more. You will assist students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them engage in their education, promoting their independence, and providing personal care when required. This is an ideal role for someone looking to move from care into an education environment and make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist students with personal care needs, including feeding, mobility, and hygiene.
* Support students in the classroom, ensuring they are able to engage with their lessons and activities.
* Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor students’ progress.
* Provide emotional and behavioral support to help students thrive in a school setting.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

* Previous experience as a Care Assistant, with a strong background in supporting individuals with additional needs.
* A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to supporting students with SEND.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
