Main Duties
As Principal, you will provide strategic leadership, operational and financial oversight, offering direct support and guidance to the main college site, satellite locations, and future growth projects—including the development of a new state-of-the-art college building in Lancaster.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring outstanding educational outcomes while maintaining the uniqueness of each provision.
Increasing engagement with local authorities and external stakeholders.
Overseeing HR, health and safety, and risk management responsibilities.
Job Scope
Provide facilitative and inclusive leadership, fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Promote a culture of high standards and continuous improvement that empowers staff to reach their full potential while addressing underperformance.
Recruit, manage, and develop educational and support staff in line with HR and operational policies.
Work seamlessly across departments to achieve organisational objectives, including quality and performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements as defined by the Department for Education and other regulatory bodies, aiming for the highest inspection ratings.
Ensure financial sustainability and effective management of the college and its satellite services.
Oversee the smooth running of all educational provisions, maintaining a high standard of education and student support.
