Environmental Health Technical Officer
We are seeking 3 full-time Technical Officers to join the Pollution Team in our Environmental Health Service.
Our Pollution team is responsible for the investigation of domestic, commercial, and industrial noise nuisance and other statutory nuisances such as artificial lighting and air pollution problems. You will deliver consultation responses to Licensing and Planning Applications and undertake drainage and private water supply investigations.

You will assist a team of professional officers to develop and deliver high quality, cost-effective, and efficient services while ensuring compliance with legislation, supporting guidance, and our Council policies and procedures.
You will provide advice on technical and legislative matters relating to the delivery of Environmental Health services to a wide range of clients. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, self-motivated, and possess a ‘can-do’ attitude toward enforcement work, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The post requires a Degree in Environmental or associated science or a Diploma in acoustics and noise control/certificate of competency in environmental noise measurement. A driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are essential for this post.
