There are two vacancies, one as part of our Payroll team and the second as part of the Local NHS Pensions team.
The Payroll vacancy will be acting as part of a team to calculate and process the pay of employees of the Trust and other organisations for which the Trust acts as a payroll service provider.
To ensure that all payments are made with regard to Trust policies, Agenda for Change Conditions of Service, Medical and Dental Conditions of Service, HMRC regulations and NHS Pensions regulations.
The Pensions assistant role will work in conjunction with colleagues in the Pensions team, supporting staff with understanding of NHS Pensions rules, Scheme membership and benefits payable, ensuring that documentation is complete and accurate before submission to the national NHS Pensions agency.

Job responsibilities
The role holder will be involved in supporting the calculation of weekly and monthly payments, using AFC and Medical and Dental conditions of service, while applying HMRC regulations on Tax and NI, and also the NHS Pensions agency scheme rules.
You will be trained to understand and develop knowledge of the Conditions of Service, but also HMRC regulations and requirements.
You will join as we look to merge to a One Devon Payroll function, but also looking to use AI, Robotics and automation to develop the functions of the service offered to employees and Trusts to the highest standard possible.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm
