An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Senior Charge Nurse for the Substance Use Team, Justice Healthcare. The post holder will work as part of the leadership teams across all three prison sites including HMP Perth, HMP Castle Huntly and HMP Bella.
As the Senior Charge Nurse, you will have operational management for the delivery of healthcare for patients who are supported by the Prison SUT. You will be required to manage a small caseload of patients to support care delivery as well as the requirement to provide compassionate leadership, with skills to influence and develop practice managing competing priorities and leading on new initiatives within a busy integrated team.
A core role of the Senior Charge Nurse is to provide direct professional leadership, to enhance and develop the Prison SUT and to establish collaborative, person-centred ways to work cohesively with the wider prison healthcare multidisciplinary team and SPS colleagues.
Interested individuals should have significant experience in a nursing leadership role. You will be an experienced leader with a wide range of managerial skills evidenced by an extensive background of managing services within an NHS setting.
Valid UK NMC Registration is essential.
