The role:
An exciting opportunity to join British Airways as a Data Exploitation Analyst has arisen!
Working in our Commercial team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering technical solutions that optimise our decision making. You will be at the heart of our Commercial Data & Analytics team working with a wide variety of business users to shape the metrics and datasets we need to optimise our Commercial Performance. You will be expected to make these a reality, leading development work with our Business Intelligence team.
What you’ll do:
* Develop a coherent commercial data structure to enable effective reporting and consistent data analysis across Commercial.
* Facilitate differing viewpoints from across commercial to agree common solutions and definitions.
* Monitor and resolve data quality issues and provide solutions which enable a self service culture for accessing data.
* Working with BI and the Data team to define most appropriate technology and helping shape the solutions
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
* Strong background in data modelling tools, such as SQL or Python.
* In depth knowledge of multiple visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).
* Ability to structure problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Excellent numeracy skills and able to generate insight from complex and often conflicting data
* Excellent communication skills and able to translate complex information to a variety of audiences.
Your experience:
* Qualification and/or experience in a relevant field.
* Experience in project management and delivering data enhancements.
