New Directions Education are looking to recruit a talented and inspiring teacher of English to teach on supply across a range of secondary schools within the county of Powys.
We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate an enthusiasm for English and a commitment to using excellent teaching and learning practices to motivate, engage and challenge pupils of all abilities and backgrounds.
We are looking for someone who:

3. Can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work successfully within a large team

Job Specification
New Directions Education places great emphasis on recruiting and supplying newly qualified (NQT) or experienced English teachers of a very high quality for supply vacancies across the UK.
Whether your speciality is language, literature or both we recruit a variety of roles in English Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
As an English teacher you’ll be expected to:
4. Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
5. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
6. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
7. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
8. Maintain discipline
9. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
10. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
11. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
12. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
13. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
