Our client based in Reading is looking for a Quotation Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. As the Quotation Engineer, you will be responsible for quoting works from customer enquiries and service/maintenance sheets.
Support a team of engineers on knowledge and issues on sites, ensuring that services and maintenance are in alignment with the current and future needs of the business and its customers. Strive to improve the quality of works being completed.
Responsibilities
1. Complete quotations in a timely manner.
2. Help maintain a reduced backlog of quotations.
3. Maintain a close working relationship with the Technical Manager to review and improve the department's aims and objectives.
4. Work closely with the operations team to deliver service KPIs.
5. Ensure that service quality is managed in accordance with the agreed processes.
6. Report and escalate any service issues or customer complaints to the Technical Manager promptly, ensuring corrective action is taken where necessary.
7. Motivate team members to work collaboratively and guide them to achieve set goals.
8. Monitor engineer's knowledge to ensure service and maintenance are carried out correctly.
9. Identify strong, talented potential staff with the necessary functional and technical skills.
10. Encourage team development, ensuring employees understand their value to the organization.
11. Provide excellent customer service, meeting the expectations of both internal and external customers, and establishing effective relationships.
12. Perform any other duties in line with the role.
Essential Experience
1. Previous experience in a customer-facing environment.
2. Demonstrated successful track record of achievement.
3. Ability to network with relevant groups.
4. Preferably time served within a technical environment such as Mechanical Engineering.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Ability to develop and manage a team atmosphere through hard work, tolerance, and consistency.
7. Ability to provide excellent customer service by meeting expectations.

Knowledge
1. PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
2. Sound industry knowledge with a proven background through a recognized apprenticeship or similar qualification.
3. Knowledge of the British Standard BSEN12845 and Factory Mutual regulations.
4. Full clean driving license is preferred.
