Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in organic chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Tim Donohoe for a period of up to 3 years. The project involves an investigation into catalytic methods of dearomatizing arenes and making stereochemically defined heterocycles and is funded by EPSRC/UKRI.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Organic Chemistry or a relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires expertise in the design and execution of synthetic schemes and a strong appreciation of mechanism and the use of spectroscopy in organic chemistry.
You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
