Job Title: Head of Retaining Walls GB
Reports to: Sales Director GB
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Job Summary: Reporting directly to the GB Sales Director, the Head of Retaining Walls GB will play a pivotal role in managing and driving AG’s Development and Growth strategy for the Retaining Wall Business across GB. This position entails a leadership role in overseeing market penetration, establishing strong customer relationships, and delivering substantial business growth within the sector. The successful candidate will also lead the launch of AG’s innovative Diamond Pro Air product into the GB market. This will involve collaborating closely with internal GB teams to ensure the product's successful introduction and sustained growth.
About the role
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead AG’s development and growth plans for our Retaining Wall business in GB.
* Create detailed plans in conjunction with our Sales Director & Marketing team to increase AG’s market share in GB of SRW’s.
* Custodian of AG’s new product launch of Diamond Pro-Air into the GB market working closely with all GB teams to put together all encompassing sales plan to develop substantial growth opportunities.
* Lead sales, pricing & marketing strategy by researching and identifying new areas to develop our product offering to include roll out of AG registered contractor and registered designer schemes in GB.
* Manage relationships with key stakeholders. Example: Anchor, Maccaferri, Tailor Engineering, Geoman.
* Liaise with key supply chain partners and co-ordinate the best and most cost effective customer service offer for AG’s SRW product range.
* Focus on early stage engagement through collaborating with customers at the design/specification stages and manage this process through to order.
* Develop and negotiate specification opportunities with housebuilders/Groundworkers to drive product growth & AG awareness in association with the specification team & regional sales managers.
* Develop and negotiate specification break opportunities with housebuilders/Groundworkers to drive product growth.
* Identify key decision makers, build strong relationships, selling value, our service and our expertise.
* In tandem with, RSM & Specification team deliver impactful CPD presentations to raise awareness of company products and services for retaining walls that should include lunch and learn seminars.
* Participate in technical & research and development strategy by identifying new areas to develop as per our customers needs.
* Personally deal with and resolve any customer complaints/issues relating to SRW where appropriate.
* Have a clear understanding of current & future market trends, industry and competitor developments.
* Maintain collaborative working practices, developing good rapport and relationships with all internal stakeholders. Work closely with representatives of other product lines to leverage our scale and capitalise on all selling opportunities for a project.
* To organise corporate hospitality events with Key decision makers/prospective customers.
* Provide support to regional Groundwork and Housebuilding Contractors as required.
* Encourage regional sales managers/specification team to pro-actively target new customers and visits through joint call days.
* Follow up on all project opportunities and customer requirements within the timeframes required with updated input onto CRM system.
* Attend sales review meetings with Sales Director GB to discuss performance against objectives set.
* Attend sales team meetings to support the team objectives.
* Work with the regional sales team and head office staff who provide support to you in this role.
* Actively work on your target list of customers and ensure we are meeting those that can provide us with the most sales and opportunities.
* Develop strong customer relationships to enable you to gain repeat orders.
* Use our added value services such as the design services to help gain more orders.
* Actively plan your diary 4-6 weeks in advance with key customer targets.
* Attend appropriate networking events to build your contact database and enable you to follow up and secure one to one meetings.
* Record all customers’ interactions and notes as per company procedure/CRM.
* Maintain CRM system as per procedures.
* Use LinkedIn to identify customers and increase AG brand awareness.

Required Criteria
* Third Level Education
* Knowledge of Geographical Territory
* 2 years or more experience of managing a team
* Self Motivated and Goal orientated
* Can travel throughout GB as and when required
Desired Criteria
* Civil Engineering Experience
* Knowledge of Construction Industry
* Confident influencer and negotiator at all levels, with experience of high level/high value sales negotiations. Director Level
* Flexible approach to work overtime when required
