The Role
Addepar is expanding into Switzerland, and we are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our growing European team. Based in Geneva, you will be a key technical and consultative resource throughout the sales process, helping us establish and strengthen our presence in this dynamic market. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to demonstrate the value of Addepar’s solutions, ensuring alignment with the needs of Swiss wealth managers, family offices, private banks, and asset managers.
Your role will involve engaging with a diverse range of prospects and markets across the UHNW wealth management industry, providing insights into our product's advantages and capabilities. You will act as a bridge between our Sales, Services, Product, Engineering, and Data teams, ensuring the sales team stays informed about product developments, workflows, and use cases.
Strategically, you will contribute to developing resources and tools to enhance the sales team’s knowledge base. We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, and deeply knowledgeable about investment management. Ideally, you will have experience working with Addepar clients and be familiar with deployment tools and processes.
The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver and thought leader who thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. You will play a critical role in driving improvements and contributing to the success of Addepar in the EMEA region.
What You’ll Do
* Act as a trusted technical and consultative resource during the sales process, guiding Swiss and European prospects in understanding how Addepar fits their business.
* Support senior Sales Engineers and Sales Executives throughout the sales process by providing expertise on Addepar’s product, data platform, and implementation approach.
* Assist with completing RFPs and RFIs.
* Coordinate with internal product and technical teams to support prospect calls and meetings.
* Highlight and communicate the unique benefits of Addepar compared to competitors by demonstrating a deep understanding of the product, client workflows, and the financial industry.
* Lead "Proof of Concept" initiatives: understand client requirements, load client data, and design customised demo environments to showcase the Addepar experience.
* Design tailored solutions to address clients' business needs, mitigating risks in future implementations by outlining comprehensive approaches to meet their requirements.
* Collaborate on the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and budget estimates, and liaise with teams including Professional Services, Data, Implementation Project Management, Support, Finance, and Legal.
Who You Are
* Several years of experience in financial services, including roles in FinTech deployment, sales engineering, solutions architecture, product management, and/or financial platforms.
* Familiarity with the Swiss financial landscape, including regulatory considerations and client expectations, will be a significant advantage.
* Experience with SaaS companies in similar roles, such as deployments or product engineering, with an interest in transitioning to sales.
* Strong understanding of modern software architecture and financial concepts.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
* Proficient in managing multiple tasks, processes, and deliverables for various prospective clients.
* Skilled at managing complex projects, relationships, and timelines.
* Flexibility to travel as needed.
* Familiarity with database concepts, cloud infrastructure, security, SQL, Python, and APIs.
* Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering background is a plus).
* Fluency in English as well as French, and/or German.
