THE JOB:
Advise on wine pairing and being able to showcase own knowledge to the guests.
Setting up for service and assistance with clearing duties.
Day to day upselling and advising on the wine choice.
Decanting fine wine.
Strong knowledge of the onsite wine list.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1 year of experience as a Junior Sommelier or 2 years a wine waiter.
Strong attention to detail.
Immaculate presentation and strong communication skills.
Can do attitude and ability to multitask.
Experience in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel desirable.
WSET level 2 or above
Flexibility to work occasional weekends (approx. 10 per year)
THE PACKAGE:
33.5K (base + TRONC + GUARANTEED BONUS)
40h per week on a Monday – Friday basis
Christmas off
Meals on duty
