Summary: Anaphite is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a motivated candidate to support our evolving requirements by expanding our in-house finance capabilities. As a Finance Executive, you will join our dedicated Finance team to carry out our monthly bookkeeping processes and maintain efficient financial operations across the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the Anaphite team across the business, and given opportunities to gain desired experience and training. We are looking for a practical, organised and motivated candidate who learns quickly, is conscientious, and cares about completing tasks to a high quality. Responsibilities/Duties: Maintaining Anaphite’s financial systems and processes; Ensuring financial documents are kept up to date on Xero including but not limited to Quotes, Purchase orders, Invoices and credit notes; Carrying out monthly payroll activities; Reconciling Anaphite bank accounts on Xero on a weekly basis; Closing on monthly accounts on Xero and ensuring records have the appropriate tags; Preparing claims and tracking payments for grant funded projects; Organising and setting up weekly payments of employee expenses; Tracking income from customers and ensuring timely payment; Preparing weekly pay-runs and setting up payments for approval by relevant members of the team; Maintaining and ensuring proper use of Anaphite’s financial approval system; Preparation of monthly budget reports for each of Anaphite’s departments; Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns; Monitor and manage the financeanaphite.com email; Preparation of shipping documents for sales, customer samples and external trials; Preparation of invoices for customers and Credit control function to monitor payment of Anaphite invoices and flag when payments from customers are overdue. Required Proficiencies/Experience: Essential: Experience working with accounting and accounting management software (e.g. Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax); Proficiency using Excel; Ability to effectively manage time and workload and Have or working towards an accountant qualification (i.e. AAT levels 1-4) Desirable: Experience creating and communicating financial reports internally and Relevant bachelors degree (i.e. Finance, Mathematics) or relevant experience.
