About the role
Apprenticeships are central to our strategy for recruitment, retention, and development. Since becoming an accredited provider in 2021, we’ve been committed to delivering high-quality apprenticeship training designed specifically for educational and business support roles in schools, nurseries, and other settings.
We’re now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to lead all aspects of compliance and funding for our apprenticeship programmes. From overseeing data submissions and funding claims to managing systems and audits, you’ll be the key driver of our operational excellence. This role also offers the chance to ensure funding opportunities are maximised and risks are minimised through robust processes and systems.

Duties/responsibilities:
The role is responsible for ensuring the provider’s apprenticeship provision adheres to all compliance and funding regulations. Your role includes overseeing data submissions, managing ILR processes, ensuring accurate funding claims, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ESFA funding rules. You will lead audits and compliance reviews, identify and address risks, and provide guidance to the team to ensure systems and processes meet regulatory standards.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the financial sustainability and integrity of the provider, enabling the organisation to deliver high-quality training while meeting funding and compliance requirements.
Essential requirements
* Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (GCSE, A Level, or Functional Skills L2)
* Strong understanding of ESFA funding rules and apprenticeship compliance requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in data management and risk mitigation strategies.
* Experience of working in a Further Education MIS department
* A sound knowledge of the Individualised Learner Record (ILR), funding regulations and audit requirements for further education
* Ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision
* Current knowledge of data and compliance requirements within public funding programmes including ESFA (apprenticeships)
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills
* Experienced user of PDSAT software and other related software / reports for data cleansing and credibility related issues
* Experience of planning and undertaking internal audits
* Experience of external audits
Desirable
* Experience using PICS or similar apprenticeship management software.
