The Trust, based at a High School in Barton under Needwood, is part of a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). The Trust offers exceptional support throughout your training year. Youll have the opportunity to train in two different schools, guided by supportive mentors who will meet with you weekly. Youll also gain valuable experience in a special school or alternative provision provider and work with different age groups to broaden your experience.
Their weekly training sessions at the Training Centre are led by subject and phase specialists from the team, as well as experienced local school representatives. Secondary trainees benefit from subject specific training with expert practitioners, while primary trainees enjoy a diverse programme delivered by specialists from local schools.
Collaboration with their partner schools is at the heart of the programme, ensuring their trainees receive high-quality, relevant training that prepares them for success. Their partners are invested in your development because they want to recruit the best-trained educators for their schools.
The Trust welcomes trainees from all backgroundswhether youre finishing your degree, completing a Masters, or looking for a career change. If you have an A-Level in the subject you want to teach or a degree in a different field, theyll support you in building the subject knowledge you need. Qualifications Required
Bachelors (Required)- final year students may apply.
GCSE at Grade C/4 or equivalent in Maths, English (& Science for Primary applications)
Salary/Funding
Training Bursaries/ scholarships available up to £29,000 (tax free). Once qualified, all teachers will have a starting salary of at least £31,650.
Their courses cost £9,535.00 (1 year full-time) or £7,145 per year (2-year part-time) which may be funded through Student Finance England. You may be entitled to a Maintenance Loan.
