Geography Teacher – Tameside
Location: Tameside
Pay: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: April 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (potential for permanent placement)
A secondary school in Tameside is seeking a Geography Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing tailored support where needed.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Geography curriculum and wider school initiatives.
* Support extracurricular activities and fieldwork to enrich students’ learning experiences.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage and motivate students.
* An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
