Job Description
Reporting to the Head of FP&A for Sysco GB, this role supports the Sysco GB FP&A team in the production, analysis and development of accurate management reporting, driving accountability and transparency through the GB business and guiding business decision making.
As an FP&A Finance Associate, you will be directly responsible for production and analysis of short to medium term reports providing insights into business performance, as well as supporting the completion of longer-term Forecast/Planning processes, validation and target setting.
Liaising with teams across the business to understand variances in key performance measures and manage processes and data flows.
We are offering a hybrid working contract with most of your time spent working from home. However, you will be required to attend the office in Ashford, Kent once per week, so you must be comfortable and flexible with travel and commuting for project and team meetings.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
* Consolidation of Flash submissions and reconciling commentary to be delivered to the Exec team and International on a weekly basis.
* Accurate and timely production of reports at appropriate levels of detail for use across the business, including weekly and monthly dashboards and various other KPI reporting.
* Supporting month end processes including Workday reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis.
* Supporting the budgeting, QBR and forecasting cycles and processes, including cash flow and working capital forecasting and scenario planning.
* Maintaining a high level of data integrity for business planning and analysis.
* Support and facilitate project work, process improvement and effective use of Workday.
* Managing timetabling and communications to wider finance teams and following up where necessary to ensure that deadlines are met so that tasks can be successfully completed.
* Focus on personal development.
* Ambassador for finance promoting cross functional collaboration and understanding.
About you:
This is a great role for someone with a strong academic background and excellent commercial acumen who is currently training or would like to train in CIMA or ACCA in the future. You will have excellent communication and teamwork skills to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders and departments across the business, as well as being meticulous in your analysis and able to prioritise and manage different sources of information with a dedicated focus on driving results. You will have a strong desire to succeed and take ownership of your work, using your initiative to spot anomalies, question why and follow inquiries to a conclusion whilst maintaining professional and ethical standards.
