Job Summary for Buyer
You will be responsible for managing project procurement activities, supplier negotiations, material logistics, and ensuring cost-effective and timely purchasing for mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects. This is an office-based position working Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.
Key Responsibilities for Buyer
* Project Procurement (day-to-day) including Purchase Orders (Sage)
* Project Requisition Books
* Creating & Maintaining Call Off Schedules/Trackers
* Creating Material Journey Plan for New Projects Secured/delivery logistics
* Updating & Maintaining Purchase Order Tracker
* Material Quotations (support Estimating/Commercial/Customer Care)
* Value Engineering (VE) (Tenders) and into Project
* Technical Submissions (Data Sheets/Technical Info, Lead times etc)
* Creating Sample boards/Samples as required by Design Team
* Project Specifications/Schedule/Tender Understanding for VE, Material Schedules
* Negotiating best rates, rebates, settlements, credit limits and T&Cs with Suppliers (with Management approval)
* Creating & Maintaining 1st Fix, 2nd Fix and Final Kits (Bulk Orders)
* PPE Management – including Stock take & re-ordering
* Proof Of Deliveries (PODs)
* Meeting with and building relationships with new/old suppliers
* Regularly reviewing what can be returned/reused/sold from Stores
