Job role: Music Technician Location: Westcliff-on-Sea Salary: £450-£500 per week Job Type: Part-time permanent role The School and Role We are working with a high-achieving, all-girl’s secondary school located in Westcliff-on-Sea who are seeking a Music Technician. We are asking for a Music Technician with a degree or equivalent qualification in Music and strong technical skills with knowledge of sound equipment, software and recording techniques. As a Music Technician, you will work closely with the Music Department to ensure the smooth running of the music facilities and resources. Music Technicians provide technical support for both practical lessons and extracurricular activities, including concerts, rehearsals, and events. Music Technicians are responsible for maintaining and setting up equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting staff and students in their use of technology. It is not essential for applicants to have experience in schools, but Music Technicians must have a good understanding of equipment and industry experience is highly valued. Requirements The desired Music Technician will; Have good GCSEs and educated to NVQ Level or equivalent. Excellent troubleshooting skills for audio/visual equipment and technology. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive, solution-focused attitude. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students. A passion for music and education, with a proactive approach to supporting students' learning.
