We are looking for a Defence ELPL Specialist to join our team in Bradford (BD4). This is a hybrid role with expectations to work in the office at least two days a week. We are looking for a Solicitor, Cilex or an individual with proven experience in Employer Liability, Public Liability (ELPL), and litigation to join our Insurance Department on a permanent basis. You will manage your own portfolio of cases using a case management system and have access to cutting-edge technology to assist with daily tasks. Additionally, you will support various administrative functions, including setting up new cases, processing initial notification letters, and handling payments. You will also contribute insights for improvements, such as reviewing opportunities for automation and AI. What will you be doing? Manage your own portfolio of litigated and pre-litigated claims through various stages of litigation and procedural steps. Work autonomously while also collaborating effectively across multiple teams. Apply a commercial perspective to legal issues. Identify and manage legal risks, escalating them clearly and precisely to Management when necessary. Collaborate with the legal team to set up, convert, and progress new claims, ensuring existing claims are kept up to date. Utilise internal and external databases to conduct initial investigations and diligence checks. Draft and communicate with care and skill to maintain the professional image of the Legal Operations Department. We tend to look for people with: Essential : Solicitor/Cilex/Legal Executive with proven ELPL experience. Proven experience in conducting litigation. Proficiency in Microsoft products. Exceptional attention to detail, prioritisation, and accuracy. Desirable : Experience in handling defendant claims. Familiarity with OIC/MOJ portals. Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively across multiple teams. What’s in it for you?
