Job Title: Production Engineer
Location: Commutable from Andover / Southampton / Winchester / Salisbury
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00 / Friday: 08:00 - 13:00

The Role:
We are seeking a talented and proactive Production Engineer. This multi-faceted role is pivotal in ensuring production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and align with our commitment to excellence. You will work closely with the design, fabrication, and operations teams to improve workflows, enhance product quality, and maintain production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and optimise production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
2. Collaborate with the design team to ensure manufacturability of fabrications and metalwork.
3. Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
4. Monitor and analyse production performance, identifying areas for improvement.
5. Troubleshoot technical issues in production and recommend solutions.
6. Liaise with suppliers to obtain material cost and manage lead times.
About You:
Experience in this sector is not essential; however, you must be able to create production plans from technical drawings. You are a hands-on individual with a passion for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. This role will involve some supplier liaison, and you will be happy to obtain material cost and develop good working relationships with external suppliers.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in a production engineering role or manufacturing.
2. Strong knowledge of production processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
3. Proficiency in CAD software and understanding of technical drawings.
4. Excellent problem-solving and project skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
