About the business unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.
About the role
Our Human Factors team, which includes qualified ergonomists, applied psychologists, and safety/risk engineers, is a Registered Consultancy of the UK Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF). We are looking for a Human Factors Engineer to join our team. The human factors team is involved in a variety of exciting projects. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading human factors elements of work on multidisciplinary engineering projects
2. Writing and providing reports on work you’ve conducted
3. Initiating and supporting bid activities
4. Guiding and nurturing early career professionals within the team as well as supervising their work
5. Managing discipline specific projects
6. Promoting the human factors team and capabilities
Candidate specification
As an experienced human factors or ergonomics professional within a consultancy environment, you’re comfortable working independently and making commercial choices to meet client needs. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
1. An undergraduate degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
2. Experience working in a multidisciplinary consultancy
3. Ability to liaise with external clients and colleagues
4. Good report writing skills
Although not essential, if you are chartered with a relevant professional institution or working towards your chartership this would be advantageous as would any experience supporting, developing and leading a team.
