The role - Assistant Cost Manager
You will be joining a team of 19 and will enjoy working in a collaborative working environment in a modern, open plan office.
You will be working on one of their most prestigious retail framework accounts, undertaking a full range of construction projects, largely fit out and refurbishment, ranging from £50,000 - multi-million pound works.
You will be working on fast paced / fast turnaround projects
Office based in the main, out seeing clients roughly once a week.
Job Objectives: You will assist with:
* Establishing friendly, professional relationships with clients and be an extension of their team
* Subcontractor tendering and reviewing costs.
* Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
* Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
* Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
* Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
The right person. Assistant Cost Manager
You will have some form of construction qualification, and 1 years plus experience working as an Assistant Cost Planner, or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
