About the role:
To achieve targets set for sales revenue on parcels, Parcels RPC, sales activity, profitability and product mix within the BDM's designated postcode allocation in line with DHL eCommerce UK expectations and performance targets.
Responsibilities:
* Bring on new business to the required KPI's as set by the Company.
* Ensure accounts are appropriate and attractive for the Company, focusing on commission value and bottom line impact.
* Sell both domestic and international parcels within the designated sales territory.
* Maintain thorough knowledge of all DHL Parcel products and services.
* Stay updated on the parcels market and its regulations.
* Record all activities, customer records, and pipeline management in the company CRM system (Salesforce) daily.
* Ensure weekly activity aligns with targets outlined in Salesforce.
* Track revenue accurately using Salesforce, OPSYS, MI, and other company programs.
* Conduct scheduled visits to decision makers in prospect companies.
* Develop written action plans to address any shortfalls and monitor progress against targets.
* Attend quarterly Client team sales meetings and present on activity, prospects, results, and profitability.
* Ensure adherence to account opening procedures and timely administration.
* Maintain liaison with operational management and Key Account Managers regarding customer service issues.
* Meet or exceed all sales targets and ensure smooth handover of accounts to Key Account Manager or Sales Admin Officer.
* Collect competitor information and intelligence and report to the Regional Sales Manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Sales functions or leadership responsibility.
* Experience using sales tracking or customer relationship management (CRM) software.
* Prospecting, lead generation, and nurturing experience.
* Strong sales planning and organizational skills.
